1) Select and drag one end of the spawner past the other end.
2) copy the carspawn.dat file from the usa2 folder and overwrite the default carspawn.dat file in your route's folder.Best Regards

Dec-08-01, 01:50 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Car spawner" i have a question too. is ther a way to increase the speed of the traffic? i like to look out my cab at I95 on the NEC in deleware but dont like seein the cars going slower than i am when im only going 45. i been up and down that stretch of 95 hundreds of times and they drive 90 on there. i was wanting to incrases the speed of the cars, any way to do this? and if so can it be done without heavily editing the route?

Dec-08-01, 02:40 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Car spawner" Click on one end or the other of the car spawner and open the properties. The speed and frequency of spawning is specified in there. However, it is an average speed. Some cars will run faster, some slower. Sooner or later the fast ones catch up to the slow ones and you have a bunch of traffic lined up behind the slow guy. The cars don't know how to pass. For additional information on car spawners (and answers to the original questions), check the TECHDOCS on the first CD. Install those and there is a document on the spawners. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-09-01, 11:51 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Car spawner" Pick the side of the road goind the wrong way (depending on your country) and just pull the arrow from one side pass the other end of the spawner, then readjust the end you just passed. This will "flip" the spawner around. And as for traffic speeds, cars should be forced to drive 35 on I95, there'd be less fatalities and AmTrak would have more money. And I could ride my bike to NYC in half a day by taking the most direct route. -Andy
