When's it gonna be done? looks great. can't wait to finally be able to ride own the EMRR with the right #'s and names on my steamers instead of using a CNJ mikado which doesn't really fit very well now does it? Keep up the great work. hope to see it soon. Craig Shortino Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

So far I'm not really hearing anything in the way of negative feedback so go ahead and download it from:www.edmfamily.com/msts/index.htmRich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-03-01, 12:39 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Retro Metro gallery now posted" No need to apologize, I just thought you didn't know. I haven't uploaded it to train-sim.com yet. I need to get that done. I wasn't sure if the file section was working again or not. I've gotten so used to it not working I haven't checked it for a few days. Is it even working?Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-03-01, 02:20 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Retro Metro gallery now posted" Hi Rich. (is it ok if i call you Rich?). Yes the file library has been working since the day b4 thanksgiving. thats really good for me considering i lost everything 4 days ago. and in case you were wondering yes it was TS that caused the "dreaded" unable to write to drive C bug that it has. this happened to me 3 months ago but i didn't have the internet yet so i didn't loose much. i din't even start to make a route till i found this site and read all your and everybody elses great info for making one. I plan on making a ficticous 40's early 50's era complete with only steam locomotives and early diesel like the F7's. d/led the ones from trainartisan and there great models. really detailed and they come in 7 liverys some with and some without 2 headlights and some with and some without articulating (i think thats the name for it) headlights. BTW i love the EMRR. Krenshaw's run is my favorite part t v.11. look forward to seeing v.12. also i have a confession to make. i noticed from reading up on route building that you and sniper have a friendly "war" going on with running trains on each others routes and i sorta ran his P.O.& N. moguls on Krenshaw's run. but now i don't need to thanks to you fr making the RETRO METRO. i'm d/ling it right now. had to re d/l the EMRR and all add-ons. the realism, snow, sw1200,etc. and now about to do the Retro one. thanx for the great route. up until 4 days ago it was the only route i was using. look forward to more great stuff from you. one last quick question. is there a Alco PA in EMRR livery yet? if not is there one on the way. i have one for my HO layout and would like one for TS. i know columbus works has one but haven't gotten around to it yet as i'm replacing everything else i lost first. Dec-03-01, 02:51 PM (EST) 6. "RE: Retro Metro gallery now posted" Craig,Actually, there's a bunch more stuff here I haven't even gotten to. They'll be issued in Retro Metro 2. Some of it is like the F7, but dirty. Another is the RS3, but clean. *looking out the window into EMRR's train yard* I see a EMRR caboose, some passenger cars, let's see... that'a passenger car but I'm not sure really what kind it is..., and there's a 2-4-2 (looks really cool), oh and there's a 0-6-0 with EMRR on it too behind that Big Boy.*whispering* Did he say big boy??????*said in Mae West's style* I meant Sniper, that big boy. *back to regular voice which isn't a Mae West style btw* And on the rivalry.... that's all Jim's doing. He's been stealing our stuff... my gal... and running it... and her... on his route and taking pictures of it...and her, and then posting them (and I do mean them *reaking of jealousy* here on the forums! And then if that isn't enough, he goes and levels my route with smart bombs from his KittyPuppy F-16's. Apparently a so called 'mistaken release' leveled Joe's dispatcher's shack (aka 'the outhouse') and let me tell ya, it hasn't improved Joe's AI train handling one bit. While Jim is working on the PO&N 5000, I have begun work on a new route called for now, the Bodiddly. Named after one of our most stellar Train citizens, Bo. *said sheepishly* However, he defected to a rival train game crowd, but in honor of the 'mate' I kept the route name the same. The Bodiddily represents two routes, uses actual DEM data from south Ohio and is loosely based on Allen McClelland's famous model railroad, the V&O. It's coming along... I'll even include a pic or two for ya.If you have Model Railroader, check out the 1998 issue.Rich GarberMessage Areas - "Retro Metro gallery now posted" – image 1 Message Areas - "Retro Metro gallery now posted" – image 2 Message Areas - "Retro Metro gallery now posted" – image 3 Message Areas - "Retro Metro gallery now posted" – image 4 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-03-01, 04:38 PM (EST) 8. "RE: Retro Metro gallery now posted" Awww Shucks...I havent defected..well..not entirely Just the folks at the local mental hospital were sick of seeing me and hearing about my MSTS troubles..so ive been put on an MSTS diet.. Which consists of high doses of trainz
Doc says as soon as theres an upgrade to my computer or an upgrade for MSTS..then im to stay on this trainz diet for the time being, Worse thing is ive had to go cold turkey for 2 weeks as "They" rigged my putet to crash and therefore i had to reinstall, but they've hidden the disks so for 2 weeks i havent driven a train or placed a rail..its drivin me bonkers...AAAGGGHHHHHH.....Anyhoo i guy in Queensland just recieved his dose in the mail so hopefully mine will be just as quick as i sure am hanging to start laying some tracks again..Looking forward to driving on the Bodiddly..Gonna need more than the secret service to keep o'l Jim and his cronny's away from the opening ceremony.. Dec-03-01, 05:03 PM (EST) 9. "RE: Retro Metro gallery now posted" Hi Rich.i heard read about the "BODIDDLY" and saw the F-16's while searching for help about the route editor. i d/led the RETRO METRO but haven't had a chance to take a spin down "memory lane" yet. also i found out what happened to OLE Engine #9. (i think that was you that said that) if you look in BW RIVER RAIL you will see a switch with no track connected. my conclusion is it never passed Titan because someone threw the switch to the yard and it went off that switch and into the lake. send a search party to dredge the lake i'm sure you'll find 'er now. after all these years.lol. i'm currently working on the BIG BOY's sister the mallet. not the ones in the library there was another one that resembled the BIG BOY and the CHALLENGER of that period though mine will use the ones in the library just gonna change the .eng file and bring it up to the 40's mallet specs. won't look the same but until a BIG BOY roles around i can't have my cake and eat it to. anyway im rambling so i'll shorten this up. I know you have a F7 a saw it in the gallery but i don't know yet if you have or are planning to have a Alco PA + PB. like i said i have one for my HO layout so it will be cool to ride "in style" done the EMRR with one in the proper livery and not ones like ATSF and PENNSYLVANIA RR. though i'm from Jersey and now reside in PA i'd still like to see it with the EMRR paint scheme and logo. and Bow ( is it ok if i call you Bow?) don't feel bad. my PC crashed 4 days ago and i lost everything. and i mean everything not just TS but all my work from the past 6 months. i didn't know my files were corrupted. ( thanx to that damn TS bug) so nw i have to download everything again and put all my work back in. BUMMER!!!!! lol. by the way love that massive yard though i can't use it with that much stuff but ohh well. i have a few screen shots of the yard full of F7's and alot of other steam engines like the ESE CNJ and ACR (atlantic coastal railways) Mikado, P.O. & N. (sorry Rich) Moguls and many others if you wanna see em just tell me how to upload em to the forum. OHHH and don't tell sniper but i found out that his trains have that stupid catdog logo because there only good for PONTOONS ( get it) cause when i was backin into Caman dock i derailed and for some odd reason both his coal cars (fully loaded) and his moguls float. go figure ehh? anyway love those screen shots btw.look forward to "BODIDDLY". Dec-03-01, 07:51 PM (EST) 11. "RE: Retro Metro gallery now posted" Man oh man!! TopDoggy.. you and Sniper have got to be one of a kind. You guys ramble more in one paragraph than I can in one of my long posts! I mean.. how do you guys ever expect us to answer these things!!! GooOOOLLLY! I'm gonna have to ask Nels if he'll put on some kinda filtering device to weed out that good ole Southern whatever you call that stuff you guys are on! I think it would be a riot to have you and Jim in the same conversation! So, what was the question again???????? LOL!Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
