Dec-02-01, 11:21 PM (EST) 1. "RE: mile" Just add up the meters of track and convert to english measurements. Or if you want to get more precise use the lat and long coordinates. It will be slightly off probably. Remember that they use decimal lat/long instead of hours/minutes/seconds like real lat long uses.-Andy

Dec-03-01, 03:06 PM (EST) 2. "RE: mile" There is a shape named Milemarker.s in the shapes directory this is supposed to place a marker (shaped like a siding or platform marker) onto the track then you place your mileposts, delete the marker, and then place another milemarker and go to the mext mile ad infinitum. Unfortunately my milemarker does not work, the error is 'shape corrupt' I cannot get the shape to decompress to try and see what is wrong. Maybe a siding or platform marker shape could be edited to give a platform/siding shape 1 mile long? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-03-01, 04:27 PM (EST) 3. "RE: mile" I use a combination of adding up track and MS streets. I use about 1650 meters as a mile. I also match up a mile marker in my track chart that is at a landmark in MS streets and then use the location and measurement tools to get the lat/long of the miles.David Klemm
