Dec-01-01, 02:19 PM (EST) "Found another dem Download" While looking on the usgs web site I came across this and have downloaded a few dems, with Very nice download speed..... the only catch is since there Free like Gisdatadepot, you can only download 10 Dems per order, but you can Choose full county's or Town by town, say you have 22 dems Chosen, just download your 10 hit the back button on the Browser uncheck the 10 you have Downloaded already and Click Submit order again, do the same until you download all you need, I find this to be useful considering the Speed is much better then Gisdatadepot, im on a DSL line im Averaging 29.2 Kbs per second the site is

Dec-01-01, 02:46 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Found another dem Download" LAST EDITED ON Dec-01-01 AT 02:47 PM (EST)Thanks, Bob. This is a great resource.A couple of points. When you get to the point of actually clicking on the link to download the DEMs, you may have two choices. If you do, one will be 10m DEM and the other 30M dem. How do you know which is which? Near the bottom of the page is "Lookup Table for Quadrangle Names: FileNames.txt" Click on it, and you will see which files to download for which resolution.Again, thanks. Great site.Lawrence Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-01-01, 07:03 PM (EST) 7. "RE: Found another dem Download" Free Fast Downloads
MapMart places no limitation on download speed and does not charge for so-called "premium data downloads". Thus you may experience download speeds up to and greater than 150KB/Sec (if using a T1 line under ideal conditions). Please try downloading data from our Sample page to get an idea of what type of download speed you may experience.. http://www.mapmart.com/WhatsNew.htmBob

Dec-02-01, 03:07 AM (EST) 11. "RE: Found another dem Download" It would appear that Bob did in fact "stumble" across this website. None of his other comments regarding this site to me at least, indicate that he has some type of fiduciary interest in MapMart. Based on the number of posts regarding DEM data, the number of posts Bob has written in the past, ect., it would appear that Bob's usage of the our was more of a slip than anything else. Thanks Bob for finding another site where DEM data can be found and used with MSTS! Like myself, I'm sure others will find this site useful.>"Please try downloading data from our
