Nov-29-01, 04:34 PM (EST) "38 Line Railroad" Howdy, all you you route builders!I'm normally hanging around in the Loco Design Forum, but
I decided to get my feet wet in Route building.
I'm planning on building a small 2KM route, just to start off. My little brother came up with a name for the route; and will be christened the '38 Line Railroad.'
Basically it wil be a small freight branch, shifting domestic goods between two small towns in a fictional county I've created called Jackson County, set somewhere in the U.S.
Although freight will be 98% of traffic, it will have a commuter running along the line twice a day, morning and night. Please give me your comments and advice on the matter. Who knows, I may start up the 38 Line Virtual Railroad Company... The Freight Cowboy Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-29-01, 06:52 PM (EST) 6. "RE: 38 Line Railroad" Aaah...
I figure it to be the other way around.
If everyone has such bad luck with it, some poor sod (me) might be lucky with it. And it's almost always available...
Just had to ask...sorry to go off subject.

Nov-30-01, 02:43 AM (EST) 8. "RE: 38 Line Railroad" Mighigandon,To tell the truth, I didn't actually know there was a Jackson County (I thoght I'd made up the name, as my surname is Jackson!)
I am intending to make the 38 Line Railroad fictional to start off with. I'll have to think of another name for the county.
Sorry for getting your hopes up there, but who knows, if the Route Editor doesn't kill me in builing this route, I may have a crack at that road.HINT AT A LATER PORJECT: I wonder if there is a diagram of the Hazzard County Railroad out there... Nov-30-01, 08:11 AM (EST) 9. "RE: 38 Line Railroad" Eh? Why rename the county? With thousands of counties in the US there's probably at least several named Jackson... Keep it. You can name it whatever you want irregardless of the real world. For instance I did a short 10km editor procedure testing route named CayugaLake and it resembled Ithaca NY exactly 0% -Andy
