Nov-29-01, 12:09 PM (EST) "IC route version 0.6 uploaded" I got the update sent up this morning so it should be available in a day or two.If you use the explore activity I created in version 0.5 you WILL have to update it with the one in the zip. That one headed you east in Clinton to the dead end which now contains a yard. And since I added some track, it broke the previous path. I include an updated one to solve that. For others that start somewhere else, you should not be affected.I've installed this on my work PC without problem. I can't think of anything new that I haven't already mentioned. You get the line from Decatur to Mattoon with 2 miles north and south of Mattoon. Has very little scenery at this point. That adds about 50 miles of track. The main line at Mattoon has much higher speed limits, 90 for passenger and 50 for freight. So I will extend the line to Champaign to let you guys open up those amtrak trains! You get the east Clinton yard with scenery. This upload is a little bigger then the past ones do to the fact I added 50 tiles to the route. It's 12 meg, sorry. I shoot for around 7 megs. The next update will be coming with stuff done by Trouble Pryor now that he is back on line after his move. He will be working on the southern section while I take a break and learn TSM and play with all the great stuff built and painted by you all. And I will share all my creations with you. Plans are for some buildings, piggyback ramp and signs as a start.David Klemm

The J Stevens "bat file" is an offence to ease of use and too damn much like what I do for a living <VBG>.... Did you or anyone ever comeup with some thing that got around all the cutting/copying????????------Chuck Schneider---------

Nov-30-01, 11:15 AM (EST) 2. "RE: IC route version 0.6 uploaded" Chuck;Well some people have gotten around all the cutting and copying by sending a CD! I know Jak Fearon is working on a package tool for route builders. Others have simply copied the sound, terrtex, texture and shapes folders from all six routes, added in the sd files from Jim and made it work that way.I've heard from others they may attempt a program to make this easier. I don't have the skill to do that so I'll stick to route building. And now object creation since I got TSM. I'm going to do around 4 water towers and release them as a group.David Klemm

Dec-01-01, 05:11 PM (EST) 4. "RE: IC route version 0.6 uploaded" Dave........Are you planning to model the north end of the IC; Chicago? And (hopefully) the electrified district on the north end to Randolph street? Don't forget the connection to the CSS&SB so someone can do that RR as well and tie them all together!Tony Vallillo Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-02-01, 10:14 AM (EST) 9. "RE: IC route version 0.6 uploaded" That will happen soon, that is going to one file. I will probably keep up the change only files for those with modems. Do something like version 0.6 is change only, version 0.61 is the complete folder(minus shape, sound, terrtex and textures obviously)David Klemm

Dec-02-01, 10:38 PM (EST) 13. "RE: IC route version 0.6 uploaded" Trouble Pryor I believe is going to do that for this route. I don't have the skill set to do it. Of course, there is the program that Jak is going to do after he gets done with the route control one that is in beta. His new one will be for developers to package up a route.David Klemm

Dec-02-01, 10:16 AM (EST) 10. "RE: IC route version 0.6 uploaded" Going north to Chicago is always a possibility. It is farther down the list then the area around Decatur and connecting the northern section to the area in southern Illinois.David Klemm

"RE: IC route version 0.6 uploaded" LAST EDITED ON Dec-03-01 AT 01:02 AM (EST)david that spur that heads east i believe it would be out of decatur to the ADM plant and the firestone plant. the grade back up after coming down off of the IC main is pretty steep eh? gonna be fun to switch cars in that area. also ive been getting crashes now when running in snow, never happened before. would it hurt to run stuff-it? as always thanks looking good. oh yeah, i vote for heading north!!!!!

Dec-03-01, 09:13 AM (EST) 16. "RE: IC route version 0.6 uploaded" Crayphish;Running in snow is on my to do list now that I'm turning over scenicing to Trouble Pryor, I will have time to deal with it. It's been in the readme since version 0.1 that it was an issue. I need to hit the rails in snow and get those errors and package them up for the next release.David Klemm
