They are for pay, but I don't think the cost is all that bad. He has a website now and has all kinds of good stuff. I've bought 3 things from him and they come in 3 ring binders. The address is;www.trainsite.8m.comDavid Klemm

Nov-28-01, 02:46 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Track Charts????" Don't know if this is what you're looking for, but at www.bnsf.com they've got downloadable charts and speedlimit booklets for all of their routes. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-02-01, 02:56 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Track Charts????" Just an FYI...I contacted the local BNSF folks here in the Omaha, NE area. They have an engineering firm that can provide incredibly detailed track charts, but to the tune of $75 per subdivision. To do the Creston/Omaha/Napier subs would be a bit costly. But to have exact turnout locations, control signal locations, grade crossings, siding length & car capacity,....I'd better shut up before I grab for my VISA card! Dec-02-01, 03:14 AM (EST) 5. "RE: Track Charts????" I was under the impression that such information would be "hush, hush", especially after the events of 9/11/01.Would such information be available for the ENTIRE BNSF system, or just those around Omaha?Any idea as to what format these track charts are available in?If purchased, would the purchaser be bound by some non-disclosure agreement or other proviso?Just wondering!

Dec-02-01, 03:40 AM (EST) 6. "RE: Track Charts????" Upon hearing the $75 cost, the few remaining active neurons in my brain began to systematically shut down, so I left without posing those questions. However, I was informed that there are links at BNSF's website that can be used to email questions or obtain info about maps. I haven't been to their page recently, but you can find it at http://www.bnsf.com. If I recall, she told me it's under 'products and services'. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
