Nov-25-01, 12:55 PM (EST) "HOboken Shore RR route map" This is almost final route map, the blue lines are left to make(if route editor allows it...). Also some scenery is missing.
Is it too complex route for the Route editor, as I have received different errors more often than in the "old days"?Message Areas - "HOboken Shore RR route map" – image 1Enocell Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-25-01, 02:41 PM (EST) 2. "RE: HOboken Shore RR route map" and let me guess... you got all that into 2 tiles right? Enocell, now we know what where you've been. That's very impressive! You're gonna need street signs I think for folks to have directions to get around! Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-25-01, 02:54 PM (EST) 3. "RE: HOboken Shore RR route map" Well it's not on 2 tiles...
I used siding markers to show where the tracks go(in those intersections). I had to left off many tracks/yards and simplify the yards as if they are full of cars, we need 1000 GHz machine to run the route...Enocell Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-25-01, 06:32 PM (EST) 7. "RE: HOboken Shore RR route map" Here we go loop-de-loop. Just looking at the trackplan, I see a bunch of potential continuous paths, which would explain a lot of the problems you're having. It also strikes me that the map is too detailed for a single screengrab from the activity editor, so you must have made it by making a series of capture/grab/whatevers, then pasting into a larger blank or merging somehow. What paint program are you using and how did you merge the images together? C'mon, Teemu, share the knowledge, so we can all ooh and aah at your brilliance, then shamelessly steal your ideas! Nov-25-01, 11:39 PM (EST) 9. "RE: HOboken Shore RR route map" Couple quick questions:1. Wasnt the Hoboken Shore RR featured in a trains magazine some time back? (blue s units shown taking the latest subway cars off barges)2. At one time wasn't the HSRR electrified via overhead wires. (Not like the times square huffers and their odd pickup)3. Would it be possible to reflect a Transit activity somehow? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Just press PrintScrn and then paste it to PaintShop Pro or other similar program(this works in any Windows program). Those shots needs to be cropped before they can be merged to one big map.About the loops(by the way, today I didn't get any crashes):
There's only 3 loops, one in the US army supply center, one in Port Newark and one is that CNJ trackage from Jersey City to Brills Yard, Elizabethport and Bayonne and then back to Jersey City. All other are not complete loops, but they look like a loop in that screenshot. There was one loop which caused crashes but I changed it so that the path can't cross itself, but the loop still works. Except you have to reverse to the yard.Enocell Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: HOboken Shore RR route map" Whew!No wonder I've been having a hard time trying to get a mental "grasp" of things when I'm in the route!Detailed activities are probably going to be a bear to produce, but I love the potential!Henry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-26-01, 01:25 PM (EST) 11. "RE: HOboken Shore RR route map" Hi Enocell,I love your Hoboken Shore Railroad. It’s one of my favourite MSTS routes. It brings memories back of an industrial railroad in my home city of Berlin.
There is something magical about a railroad running next to and on streets. As a child I often did run along side a shunting diesel and watched it at work. Great memories!Cheers,
Henry. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
