LAST EDITED ON Nov-22-01 AT 09:41 PM (EST)Not to be picayune, but if there ain't any track you don't have a route, what you got there is a route blank or a route template. You might check with Kern Pegg on how to zip those, how big is this thing anyway, in number of tiles? If you haven't done so already, try this;Delete the following folders; \envfiles \shapes \sounds \textures \terrtex. Do a tools, find in explorer (STARTING IN THE ROOT OF YOUR ROUTE) for *.BK , *E.RAW , and *N.RAW . Select all, delete all.You might think about making a batch file to recopy all the deleted common files and folders, altho anyone downloading a route blank for use in the editor should be able to figure out which of the default files he needs to put into it. Here's a zip with a batch file if you want to include it; http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/User_files/3bfdb16b31a936e7.zipI also kind of wonder if it would be necessary to include all the dat files in the root, and if there's no track or objects any \world tiles could be left out. Again, Kern Pegg would be the DEM template expert, he's uploaded a few of them. 96 megs zipped up, hey? You go all the way from Miami to Fairbanks or something? Nov-23-01, 11:26 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Question...." I have a rookie route builder question. I recently downloaded Micro-dem and the other dem (the name escapes me for some reason). My question without going overboard is: What do I do with them? I have absolutely no idea. I have the regular Dem extraction tutorial but I heard that I have to use the Micro-dem first. Can someone let me know what the proper ways of going about this are? I would really appreciate it. Thanx Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Maybe some sort of CD deal (make that CDs plural!) can be worked out.Heck, if the route looks good enough, someone might even *send* you a burner if that'll get it into our hot little hands! Now whether or not MSTS can deal with running such a route....Henry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
