Nov-19-01, 09:43 PM (EST) "Microdem deleting system files :(" Upon using Microdem i noticed that everytime its run it deletes
the autoexec.bat from the root of C: and any txt files there like system.ini etc.
Thinking it was a virus i did a check but nothing,i then changed
the settings of microdem to save mapdata onto d: and any txt files i had in the root folder of D: were deleted on startup of Microdem..Is there a reason for this and is there a fix..Thanks Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I'm running Win2K Pro.Did you follow the installation instructions exactly? It is very important the the mapdata folder be located as a root directory, and no where else. With Win2K Pro, you should also see some activity in the \Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Temp folder. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Microdem deleting system files :(" Well, then, I would suggest that you uninstall it, and reinstall. The reason I am asking what you are doing is because there is a utility in the file section which uses MicroDem to do some of its work. If you are not carefully using that utility, MicroDem will most graciously eat the files, and I can tell you how to fix that.If you are not using that utility, then you had better uninstall and reinstall.Lawrence Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
