Nov-18-01, 00:17 AM (EST) "Gritty Bridges" I don't know about everyone else, but I'm getting sick of all of these huge stone arch bridges and red Japanese bridges. Does anyone want to spend some time building some big, long, wide, dirty, gritty, rusty, good ole' steel bridges to span our Midwestern rivers??? I think it would be great to have some bridges like these-

Let's not forget long approaches to gain elevation on flat terrain. Hmmmmmm...... Maybe some interchangeable approach sections with straights AND curves, well I can always hope.
Anyone's intrest is greatly appreciated
Thanks!!! <Jae>
P.S.- make sure to check out St. Louis' own MacAthur Bridge (southern most bridge in the image)and it's 4 different rail approaches plus abandoned top road deck-http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.asp?S=13&T=1&X=467&Y=2673&Z=15&W=2

Nov-20-01, 07:16 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Gritty Bridges" Message Areas - "Gritty Bridges" – image 4 Nope, this isn't a photo of San Fransisco. It's Lisbon, Portugal. The "Salazar Bridge" or commonly know as "Tagus Bridge".
Recently, ( 1999)railroad has been instaled on the bridge has it was predicted in the original project and construction in the late 60's. So I would like to begin by this particular bridge.
Any one tell's me how i could acomplish this?
