Nov-17-01, 06:08 AM (EST) "EZZSTUFF3.BAT - SOUND PROBLEM for europeen users" I used this realy famous programm for my uploaded german route and i got troubles with my sound signals . The signal whistle blow and ready to go or "Fertig zur Abfahrt" was missing.
Regarding the batch-file there is copied at last the USA2 stuff and i think this is the only route without ready to go signal.
To solve your problems , if you have, take the sound folder of your favorite route and copie the file ingame.sms to your route -sound folder and you have your normale sounds - probably the same probleme is with the different rail-beds. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-17-01, 11:42 AM (EST) 1. "RE: EZZSTUFF3.BAT - SOUND PROBLEM for europeen users" Somebody needs to translate the RouteEditor.txt file into foreign languages, everything in there except combined.ref is mine, and I'm pretty sure I remembered to mention that Ezstuff3 is public domain, I don't retain any copyright on it. The RouteEditor.txt file goes into how to edit the batch file to change or leave out sounds, envfiles, and objects. It does not address the issues of the .dat files tho, since those are not in combined.ref, you have to copy the ssource.dat for the sounds from the region you want. Same thing with the signal dat files. So yes, the ingame.sms file is different for each route, but the batch file can be customized in wordpad to copy whichever one you want. Just for fun and instruction, here's Eurostuff.zip, which has an edited version of ezstuff3 called "DasStuffen.bat" (probably the wrong name, what little German I know is rather rusty), and it copies Europe 1 and 2 last.http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/User_files/3bf692b00a920522.zipIf anybody wants to translate the text files into German or whatever, go ahead. I sure can't do it, I barely understand my own language sometimes. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I like your small batch very well and best of my knowlidge most of uploaded routes make use of this fine and very usfull file . I´ts absolutly my fault to not edit the batch in the correct matter -Its done in the meantime . But i know of about 500 downloads of my small route and a lot of this guys are not able to edit something. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-17-01, 01:07 PM (EST) 4. "RE: EZZSTUFF3.BAT - SOUND PROBLEM for europeen users" LAST EDITED ON Nov-17-01 AT 01:11 PM (EST)Of course there's a misunderstanding, that's because of the different languages. What I'm saying is that one of you European guys needs to find someone who is a good translator, and translate the text files into languages that other Europeans can understand so you can understand the instructions, understand?
Hell, now I think I don't understand what I just wrote, I was born speaking English and I don't get it either! No, I know you weren't complaining, and I'd be lost too if I had to read it in German or something. So the quick fix is to download that zip file (above) and include DasStuffen.bat instead of Ezstuff3 with your next version of your route, that way you don't have to edit it, it's already done. Editing an existing batch file like that is a lot easier than making one from scratch, so if you want to use it to it's full potential one of you guys should really make some translations, and re-distribute it in Europe with the German - French - Italian - Whatever instructions included. The idea is that the route developer (you) should edit the batch file to customize everything for his route, that way the people who download it don't have to.
Don't feel bad about it, that American guy who made the East Metro route pretends to understand English, but he stuffs his route with a whole bunch of unnecessary files because he didn't edit the batch file at all. (Snicker chortle giggle!) Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Then they can be overwritten.
Give your departure .wav their own characteristic name, change your ingame.sms accordingly and put the wav files in the sound folder of the route.
I don't know if the EZ stuff bat file copies ingame.sms files, but remove them from this file.Dick van den Hoven Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
