Simply remove .tdb and .rdb in your route map.

Nov-11-01, 12:42 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Failed to load track database..." It seems to occur after you start adding roads. I had the error come up with my Wick route - 167 miles of track laid and about to start on the scenery, I'm in trouble I thought... However after unsuccessfully attempting to load the last two backups I did a bit of digging. Just prior to saving before the restart with the error message, I had used sunken roads to define the course of a riverbed, then deleted them. This had created an rdb file but of course this was then empty. After deleting the rdb file I was able to load again. The system appears to work fine if you already have roads laid, then use them for rivers, so morale of the story is build a few normal roads first!
