Only MS is like that.

It's just an indicator that they got it and has nothing to do with the way your E-mail is treated.Roní Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Oct-05-01, 03:14 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Kuju $ MS response to my ?????" They're not the only ones either. I sent four emails to earthlink (my FORMER ISP) tech support about recieving jpeg email attachments as text files (like someone opened up the .jpg in notepad, then saved it as a .txt before sending it on to me) and they kept sending back instructions on how to set up IEexplorer to VIEW a jpeg. It finally dawned on me that they had minimum wage morons feeding questions into a keyword based troubleshooting "wizard", and happily disgorging the answers that were spewed out without the slightest understanding of the question, the answer, or even what makes a computer tick. That's OK, tho, Ameritech has real live wizards who understand what's going on and are happy to walk you thru anything. Too bad microstiffs don't have any real competition, but who wants to bet "TRAINZ" hits the shelf before MSTS patch comes out? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Hmmmmmmmm...perhaps they should read these forums...then they would get more information then they knew what to do with...I mean after all, if you want to know what's what with your product, who you get your source data from...ME THE &%)#^) consumer who bought the #$%&@ product in the first place and have spent MORE than enough time figuring out what is wrong...<huff, puff> OK I feel better now...Brad Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Oct-06-01, 12:35 PM (EST) 6. "RE: Kuju $ MS response to my ?????" I am not happy about what Microsoft and Kuju did with Train Simulator - they rushed the program out the door without enough testing, debugging, and documentation. I'm not happy with the editors and tools included with MSTS because they are very frustrating for me to use. The program that converts 3DS files into MSTS shape file REFUSES to accept 3DS files created by any other 3D CAD and 3D modelling programs. The program accepts 3DS files created by 3D Studio MAX program only. If it was not for 3D Canvas Pro program that can export 3D models to MSTS shape files, I would remove MSTS from my hard disk drive and forget about it. I can't wait for Trainz program to be released. I will NOT waste a penny on Windows XP unless Greedy Microsoft removes the Activation Wizard from Windows XP and Office XP. Jeffrey. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

>MAX program only. This is not entirely true. There is a very wonderful 3D modeling program by Amabilis which does a very nice job creating for MSTS. See http://www.amabilis.com. Oh, only $50, too (for the version that exports to MSTS format). Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Oct-06-01, 09:19 PM (EST) 8. "RE: Kuju $ MS response to my ?????" Actually, it is true that the conv3ds program doesn't accept anything besides MAX .3ds files (as far as anyone knows). Amabilis' 3DCanvas exports DIRECTLY to the .s format, and bypasses the Kuju converter completely. It's a wonderful piece of software troub

Oct-08-01, 08:41 PM (EST) 10. "RE: Kuju $ MS response to my ?????" Well, I also know that Abacus is releasing something pretty soon that is similar to a program they created for Flight Sim. I'm looking forward to that program.Brad Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Oct-10-01, 10:44 AM (EST) 11. "RE: Kuju $ MS response to my ?????" Windows XP Corporate edition actually dosen't have the activation wizard. Which makes you wonder why MS bothered, was it just to piss off the consumer? b/c anyone who wants to copy XP, can just use the corporate edition.-Chris
