Sep-22-01, 01:53 AM (EST) "WP/BNSF high line progress report" Well the research phase of this project is almost done. It has taken me a lot longer than I had hoped due to my horrible ISP. I have nearly finished with collecting the data for the marker file. I like to use coordinates taken from Map Blast, it is a very time consuming process, but I like the results that I get. I have covered all of the territory so far from the wye through to Little Valley. After I reach Lookout Junction, I will go back and model part of the McCloud River Ry, a few miles of the SP's line to Susanville and the entire Almanor Railroad. The finished route will include the yard at Keddie through to the McCloud River Ry interchange at Lookout Jct, plus the above listed branches, and shortlines. I hope to have all of my marker data completed by the end of next week. I won't be able to do much with the route for the first couple of weeks in October since I'll be moving, but as soon as I get moved in I plan on taking a drive up along the route and taking some pictures. I hope to have some pictures of progress to post come November. Eventually I plan on modelling the entire WP, TS, SN system although the next phase has yet to be determined.
