Sep-14-01, 02:52 PM (EST) "Easier way of placing objects on a route?" Is there actually an easier way to place objects so their 'direction' is exactly the way you want? With this I mean that you don't have to rotate every object in order to place them the way you want.
It would really come in handy for placing buildings, streetlights etc etc.Any tips are appreciated.-----------

But you can easily create further copies of that first object (or a group of objects), by copying and pasting: the copies will have exactly the same orientation as the original or originals. Do the following (this does not work for track sections or transfers!): - press F2;- select an object;- optionally, select other objects: but press Ctrl while selecting them;- press Ctrl-C;- press F5;- point the + symbol where you want to place the copy of the object or objects; - press Ctrl-V;- adjust the position (and perhaps orientation) of the copy or copies, if needed; if you keep the different objects selected, they will move and rotate together.Michael Vone

- place your objects, forget placing them on the right spot, this will come later
- press F2
- press ctrl and keep it down
- click on every object you want to rotate, for every selected object you will see a wireframe
- press F4
- rotate the objects (you will see that they are rotated around one point, so most objects move to another place
- place all the objects to the right spotWillem Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
