Sep-02-01, 07:22 AM (EST) "Welding Vertices in 3dsmax" Hi there. I'm modelling with 3dsmax for trainsim. When I have symetric objects, the best way to modell is to create one side, copy them, attach it and weld vertices to make this one object. In max works fine but I can't convert that modells to tsm. Either the converter crashes or in the TSM Editor chosing the Object causes MST Editor to crash! Could someone help me? It's awful to modell things I really don't need. It's a waste of time. "RE: Welding Vertices in 3dsmax" I have installed 3d canvas pro but when I import my 3ds files all mapping coordinates and materials are deleted. so I have to retexturing my Mesh. And that in 3d canvas is really boring or is there a way that 3d canvas can read my materials? As I said, sometimes the converter worked but TSM crashed! Sep-02-01, 09:27 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Welding Vertices in 3dsmax" I'm not sure if welding vertices will cause any problems, it's probably some other problem. When you say the converter crashes, does it come up with an error message in the window? There are a lot of things that will cause the converter not to work such as lack of textureing, isolated vertices, hierarchy problems, scale and rotations and a few others. If the converter will convert the half object, but won't convert the object after mirroring and welding, then try the "remove isolated vertices" and see if that helps.Cliff Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Sep-02-01, 09:37 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Welding Vertices in 3dsmax" It must be the welding process. I've made a simpel object, deleted polygones and weldet. Clicked on remove isolated vertices and put an uvw map on it assignt a material.the converter crashed. "Cov3ds.exe has caused an error and will be closed. Launch the programm new. A Errorreport is created."
Where can I find it (Win2000)? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
