Aug-28-01, 10:10 PM (EST) "New route creation" When creating a new route, I don't have all available objects like buildings etc which you get when editing on an existing route.
What is the secret of being able to get all the other objects?Thank you all in advance.Joe alias SIMERjOE Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-29-01, 08:34 AM (EST) 1. "RE: New route creation" Unfortunately, you need to copy them from other routes. Look for messages from JMSteven; he has given great detail in the past on how this is done. It's not just as simple as copying the right file over; you need to edit one of 12 (!) config files to get it to be usable, and even then, if you try to mix and match from different standard routes, you may need to rename things, as some objects, though different, are named the same.Mind you, I haven't done this yet, but I'm just telling you what I've read. Again, look for JMSteven's messages, and it should give you a clue.HTH,
Dave

Aug-29-01, 09:15 AM (EST) 2. "RE: New route creation" As the other Dave said, look for a thread on combined objects and creating a merge folder. It contains a bat file that will combine all the objects in a new folder under the routes folder. Also contained is the required dat files to see these objects. I use it in the creation of my route and have a lot to pick from!David Klemm

Sep-01-01, 11:48 AM (EST) 4. "RE: New route creation" After placing an object and while it is still in wire frame mode, choose the information button. That will show you the name of the file. Is that what you are asking?David Klemm
