The second row, second one from the left, press that box and you'll see the grid. You got to have the Texture select window open for Q to work. It increments your tile selection. So like if you have 12 tiles in your selection, you can only choose the first 9. Using Q will increment to read the next tile up.BTW, here's a handy tip. The Texture select box can be increased by dragging on the box itself. Haven't tried this myself but saw this posted. A very handy feature as the textures don't automatically come into view, the ones that are off screen.Hope this helps ya out. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-27-01, 02:59 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Need help with textures" The F7 key does the same as selecting with the mouse. No matter which I use still no grid. I also had the texture select window open when I tried the Q key but no different textures show up. If I'm looking at one of the included routes I get a full window of textures but Q shows no more. If I'm looking at my own new route I get only 1 texture showing and Q shows no more.Larry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-27-01, 10:35 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Need help with textures" You need to pull down the menu and select Insert. This opens a dialog box listing the available texture files. Use the Q key to toggle to access additional textures if you have more than nine loaded. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-27-01, 08:36 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Need help with textures" Thanks. This solved the problem with the Q key but still no grids. I've tried all angles from ground to straight over head, from very close to very far away, but still no grids.Another item that won't work for me is the "Track DB Lines". Yes they are turned on in the view drop down. Perhaps the two problems are related.Any ideas anyone??Larry

I was having nearly the same problem. I could never get a grid to show while in terrain editor and my cursor would disappear. An updated video driver solved both these problems for me. You might want to check into that. Also check that your Video card has more than 4mb memory. Microsoft lists a number of video cards with display problems in MSTS.
