Aug-26-01, 08:06 PM (EST) "How do i test my track out?" What's the easiest way to test out the track i've so far created (to check for gaps, derailments etc)? I haven't created any stations, platforms, etc. yet I just want to drive around the track created so far. Thanks for your advice.Paul Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Well its a bit rough, there's no objects yet (hense the rather dangerous looking gap between embankments!)- but at least its' all working! (sort of) BTW this is the end result of the terrain created with the non-DEM digitising method discussed in this forum.Paul Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-27-01, 06:10 PM (EST) 3. "RE: How do i test my track out?" You can save considerable time if you open the activity editor and just look over the track diagram. Any discontinuities will show up as black balls, just like those for the end of a route or track. You may have to magnify the image, but I've found it much quicker to do this prior to running a train than to spend the time running one until you have a derailment, redit the route to fix it, rerun a train until you find another problem, etc. This has found 99% of my problems without ever leaving the editor (and it's so fast and easy).
