Aug-25-01, 02:34 PM (EST) "RouteTools WorkShop V1.00 ready for download." Ok, I've made my way through the replies I got to the first version (which wasn't a real version, more a let's-see-if-anyone-gives-a-damn) and I think this new version can be of use to someone.Download at my website:
MsTS Techie
(Should be easier to find there this time )The program have been almost 100% recoded, partly to gain some speed, but also to make room for expansion. This proberly also introduce new bugs so let me know when they show up The major news in my own oppinion is the capability to grab objects (Only statics and pickups for now) from other routes. The grab ofcourse uses the definitions from the ".ref" file in the other route and copies the ".s" and ".sd" files, but it also goes into the ".s" files to find the names of the required textures and copies them along (This requires the presence of the "FFeditc_unicode" program for most objects). Alternate textures however are curently hunted down through the directories rather that acually identified through the ".sd" file. Also RtWs don't require the actual presence of the game to run, it can work on a single stand-alone route also (some options disabled) and without any routes (not much sense though).Among other new stuff are:
Now the name of the ".ref" file is found from the ".trk" file, rather than just guessed.
You can define the path for backups.
When scanning for problems in the reference, you can choose what to scan for and if automatic fixing is used or not.
The program can now also add dummy ".sd" files to those shapes that have none.I hope some of you will try it out and give me some feedback.
Thanks for reading all of this Greetz.
