Aug-25-01, 00:07 AM (EST) "Has Anyone Tried The Valley Route?" Has Anyone Tried The Valley Route by Niall Wallace here on Train-Sim? I downloaded it and found it crashes due to some missing consists in the activities. If you follow the readme and just install the files called out it will crash due to a lot of missing .s and .ace files. If you use the Install.bat file inside the route folder it will install the needed missing files. Finally got it working. I like the route. It looks nice. I know it is just a beta so we will have to wait until it is completed to fully utilize the route and activities. My hat's off to Niall Wallace for a GREAT rooute. Best regards to all, Bob. Hi,Yeah i made a bit of a cock up whith the upload, it wasn;t untill I had uploaded it i realised that I hadn't updated the readme file. (or put in a fileid.diz)The activities that crash use BR TrainsIf you desperatley want to use those activities you will needAll the deltics (Class 55)
the HST (Class 43)
Class 47
Class 37
Class 20 (pre and post TOPS)I think thats it.The activities are all just tests by me, I will probably be making.Um, im not sure if any of the activities actually use included trains.Even worse is that I am not sure which Consists I have that are original.

Aug-25-01, 02:07 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Has Anyone Tried The Valley Route?" Hi Niall. Thanks. I'd sure like to run the activities. Where are the trains available? Could you please list the files and where they are? The route is spectacular! I explored the full route using your map and some I made from the activity editor, which I sent you via e-mail. I did have a problem with a missing US2Shed2.s extended shape data error which I can't find anywhere. I also found that the cartwo.ace was missing after I used the install.bat. I found it and installed it and all worked OK, except for the missing shape data file. Is there a way to get that file? Thanks and best regards, Bob. Aug-25-01, 02:38 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Has Anyone Tried The Valley Route?" The trains are all avaliable for download at www.trainsimfiles.comSome of them are also hereI noticed the shed problem after releasing it which was a bit annoying. although I had thoguht I had fixed itThe missing file should be somewhere in the USA tracks. I think it was USA1 not entirley sure I will go and check once I log off.cartwo.ace has possibly appeared as cartwocar.ace in the textures directory this is because i didxcopy blah\textures\*car*.* .\textures\*car*.*Im not sure why that happens. Did you get my e-mail with the maps in it? They may help others with this route in addition to your maps. If not let me know and I'll resend it to you. Best regards, Bob.
