I believe the textures you are looking for are in the "textures" directory in each of the canned routes. Get into the route editor and bring up a canned route. Bring up the two texture windows and use the menu on whichever one it is to import the textures. Once you find some you like copy them into the textures directory in your route. Note that the seasonal and weather directories have alternative textures that I believe are applied per the existing conditions for the activity. Hence, you may find the same tree in each of the seasonal directories to allow seasonal variation for the figure. Some structures also use the "night" texture -- poke around and see.You apply the textures by going into the route editor, hit the "paintbrush mode" to get all the terrain squares to light up, and bring up the two texture windows. Import the textures you want to use -- note the numbers 1 thru 9 that appear on them. Select a tile you want to change, and hit the number corresponding to the texture you want to use. That's it! You can also select several tiles by hitting the shift key and selecting a second tile and can change ALL the selected tiles at once.HERE's MY QUESTION -- How do you scroll through the textures in the texture window. It can handle 9 full tiles, and sort of displays the next 3. You can cycle through them by hitting "Q", but how can you get them to scroll so you can see more than 12 ?Hope this helps....Paul

Lawrence:Well what do you know? I guess I'm so used to Windows changing the mouse cursor to a double arrow icon that it didn't occur to me that the simple approach might work anyway!! With everything else being so user unfriendly, at a minimum I was expecting to have to edit the system registry, write some hexidecimal patch code, or alter the laws of orbital mechanics. Thanks for your quick reply.
