Two questions: Whenever I run Route Ritter V6.1.54 I'm told I don't have Ace It in the same directory. But I do. Have it someplace else too. Is there something I can do to get RR to recognize where Ace It is located?Second question, more of a feature request actually.... Does Ace It have a command line interface? Often when I create a new terrtex texture I create a bunch of variants of overlays or underlays -- think dirt and grass for instance in various patterns, all using portions of the same two terrtex files. I'd love to be able to point to a directory and hit one button (or kick off a .bat) that sends all the .TGA (or .bmp) files into Ace It and have the individual .ACE files come back out. I really don't need to see the user interface at all. It would be a real time saver for me.Dave Nelson, SLW Designer, Cal-P Route
Hi Dave,1. Suggest you download the latest update patch to RR from http://members.optusnet.com.au/virtualtrains2. Aceit.exe should be in the main Route_Riter folder, not in Route_Riter\Aceit which is probably where it is on your PC. Open the Route_Riter\Aceit folder and drag everything into the main Route_Riter folder.3. The Aceit_help.chm file explains how to use the Command Line of aceit.Mike
Mike, I grabbed the update you suggested and the jump to the Aceit software now works as expected, however I still seem to be having troubles w/ RR, this time trying to envoke TSUtils. I had confirmed the route (dbl click on route, click on confirm) and then selected Check Integrity...I get a runtime error 75, specified path / file name cannot be found. TSUtils is in a folder inside the RR directory and RR was installed as a complete installation. This sound like a technical problem or user error?Dave Nelson, SLW Designer, Cal-P Route
Hi Dave,Error 75 is usually caused by a Read only file. There is a button in RR for going through all the MSTS files and making them read/write if needed. If TsUtils is still not working as expected, make sure you have Java installed, you can get the latest version from Sun at http://www.java.com/enMike
I did the read/write as you suggested... no problems w/ that, but the TSutils process returns the same error message.Am running RR 6.2.48 having done a complete install (to over-write previous software) and then patching to the latest level. Java is version 1.4.2 and had a check for updates about 2 weeks ago.Any other ideas? I do have a need to check my .tdb as there seems to be a problem in it. Dave Nelson, SLW Designer, Cal-P Route
Hi Dave,I have just been checking through my back emails, and Error 75 was reported while using TsUtils because the option had failed for some reason - The Error 75 was caused by RR looking for the .log file to display at the end of the operation, but because TsUtils had failed, then the log file was never written. When you run the TsUtils option, you should get a DOS box appear. The last line of the DOS box should show where an error has occurred.I uploaded RR v6.2.48 update to my site last night, this includes a new version of TsUtils, so may help you.Mike
