I created a bridge and textured it with no problem in TSM. Later I went back and created what I thought was a better texture and replaced it. When I tried to place my bridge I got a "Failed to Open Texture File" error. The fist one is my origional texture and the second one is the texture I tried to replace it with. What is the problem???
Does your new .ace file have the same name as the original? Did you re-create train-sim object in TSM? Is the .ace file in the route texture directory?Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, OR (My email is in my profile)Columbia Gorge Route (Phase 2-- On Hold.)
You did use a .bmp or .tga in TSM, right? The only suggestion I have to to post your conversion report. We might be able to find the answer there. It's a .txt file, found in the Train Sim Modeler folder. Every conversion you do overwrites the last conversion report so there is only one-the latest.
I figured out what was wrong. I the file name I saved it under had a space in the name of the .bmp (PC Bridge.bmp). I guess that when TSM created the ace file MSTS couldnt read the file name with the space in it. I made it all one word and now it works. I think this looks much better as it looks as though it is really cut out of the concrete... Well at least more than my first try.
