Aug-21-01, 01:42 PM (EST) "Signalling scripts" Trying to battle my way through the sigscr and sigcfg files, read the TechDocs, searched this site, but still stumbling on a few small things.Firstly, in the UK there are a row of white lights that light up when a diverging route is set (actually six possible angles). According to the docs, this should be possible. It even mentions one function as "necessary for UK style directional heads" but neglects to mention how it is done. Any ideas?Secondly, the same signal with the divering route would have approach control on it. This means that the previous signal would be showing yellow and this one red. When the train gets close to it, about 200m essentially, it will clear to a less restrictive aspect. Can this be done in MSTS?Thirdly, changing the subject slightly, how can you set a speed limit on a diverging branch of a switch? Do you have to have a short speed limit section? Many thanksGeoff Mayo.

You're talking about the 'feather lights'? Surprised a Yankee would know about these?
The stock material is not there to do this without a 3d graphics editor.
The sigcfg and sigscr will only change how a stock signal responds to block and route information.Speeds are set by speedlimit markers or by the sigcfg depending on what indication is showing. Both overide the speed set in the new route parameters. If the approach(distant) signal sees the route set diverging and displays approach diverging, you can specify the speed in the sigcfg. The same holds true for the home signal.
