I'm reading this article:http://www.railpage.org.au/steam4me/trainsim/tutorials/rew_size.htmland near the end Jim mentions:"For the techies out there - The images are essentially stretched to fit the larger viewport. If you modify the camera config file settings for the editor camera (move it back and change the clipping size) then you'll increase what is seen in the new window rather than seeing a larger copy of it."Could someone point me to the file/section for the editor camera config? Any tips on this most welcome too. Thanks, BK
The config. file for the Camera is in the global directory of TrainSim and it is called camcfg.dat. Use wordpad or a similar editor to put the values in the suggested reading into the appropriate spots in the file and save it as a unicode text file.I would rename the old file, I used cancfg.old just to save it.J. I entered the registry settings easily. It seems the part where he gives the values to enter into camcfg.dat are missing? So I took all the Fov (field of view) in camcfg.dat and raised them to 100. Unfortunately that didn't make any difference in Route Editor. Route Editor must have a differnt camera config file or some additional cam view needs to be entered into camcfg.dat.Anyone? BK
Bump.Still looking for an answer to the camcfg entry for the RE camera. It's not in my camcfg.dat file nor can I find an example anywhere else.Anyone know of it?Dave NelsonWP mainline, Oakland-Stockton: 100% complete; SP mainline, Oakland-Stockton: 20% complete; Aug 1950 Protect the Public Domain from Micky Mouse laws http://eldred.cc/
Dave:IIRC the cam cfg for the RE is hard coded, like everything else we want to change.John In memory of: CYNDI RICHARDS 1938 * 2004 You will always be here with us.
