Route Riter doesn't copy all the Shape files to another – image 1

Hello:I'm sorry to complain once again.
Another problem that I have with Route Riter.
Now I installed the RR6.1.33, and still the same:When I use the "Copy Shapes to another Route" feature, it copies most of objects completely, but there are always some others that are not copied well.
Sometimes RR doesn't load them onto the REF file. Sometimes it doesn't copy the .ACE files.I thought that it must have been fixed, but now I think it must be bug.So what I do to copy objects, is use RR to view the shape file, then the other feature to List all the ACE files used by the Shape, and them copy them all manually, the same with the REF file.
Any way I use RR for nearly everything. I'd like this feature to function well, because it's very useful for me; I need it much.I'll be waiting here..
Thanks for all...

Yuri:I already updated to 6.1.57.
Many fixes were done since 6.1.33,
among them, fixed the problem of copying shapes to another route.
I'll keep on testing.Things are changing very fast Thanks for all.

Eduardo,May I suggest that you check out the following site?http://members.optusnet.com.au/virtualtrains/beta6.htmlThe latest version of Route Riter (which is a later one than the one you are using) is available on Mike's site. There is also an email address at the bottom of that page where you can contact Mike direct if you are having problems with Route Riter.Yuri beat me to the keyboard by one minute and MrMike by nine. You have to be quick around here.RegardsJim

I don't have a life, I have broadband and MSTS.

RE: Route Riter doesn't copy all the Shape files to ano

Hi Eduardo,As far as I know it works correctly now as long as the instructions are followed, however if you can give an example of a shape which would not copy correctly, I would appreciate details so that I can fix it.Mike

Hi, Mike:Thank you once again:
Now in versions 6.1.57, it runs better; but not completely:The Shapes and the Textures were all copied.
But it didn't copy the objects references into the target REF file.I'm really sorry to ask for help after all these upgrades; it's unfair to complain at this point, when RR does practically all the main work. This problem I had with previous versions, and now it's practically fixed. But I don't know under which circumstances it fails to copy. Most of all the problems I had so far, were related to the REF file.
The REF file IS in Unicode format. In this case, I tried to copy 10 objects containing horses, from the custom French Rousillon route, to a MiniRoute of mine I was testing.
But as said before, it didn't append to the REF fileFor further details, please E-mail me and ask me more.
Whenever we locate the fault, I'll post it here.Best regards...

RE: Route Riter doesn't copy all the Shape files to ano

Hi Eduardo,I think I see the problem, Route-Riter will only copy between routes which are in the same Routes folder of MSTS. If you are copying to a Mini-Route, then you are trying to copy to a completely different version of MSTS, this will not work.Mike

NO,
I'm copying to the same folder and installation of MSTS.When I meant Mini-Route, I meant a small route of my own, made with the same system, created with the RGE, into the same MSTS installation.
I tried to copy objetcs from a custom route into the same ...Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\Routes folder.I'm sorry for having said Mini-Routes, now I see the meaning it has for most users.I'm still curious about this fact that doesn't let me include all the references into the REF file.I'm sure it might be due to something related with names or certain features.I hope we'll find it.Thank you for helping me
