Colleagues,Detailing reached Wallace, ID last night, and a run from the Pottsville Loop to Wallace revealed only a few items that needed to be tweaked. These have been fixed. The most glaring was that when I put a yard-cam at Wallace, a pair of white crosses appeared under the scenery, and had they been totally submerged, things would have been fine, but I could not suppress them enough, so after the yard-cam images in this post were taken, I removed the yard-cam. Never saw this before.J. H. Sullivan

Jerry, I had this happen earler in the year and spent a couple of weeks trying to figure out what was going on until Sniper told me what they were. You should be able to go ahead and put them back in and be okay. I think mine may have been low on memory at the time, and they evidently didn't get all the information saved that should have been there. At any rate after replacing them, I've had no problems with them in there.btw, enjoying the pix and the progress. It's just a slow way to go, isn't it RobertR .. ADF-M&RM at http://www.adfrr.com

RE: RMD-4, non-track connected detailing finished

Ahh, yes, low on memory - that probably was the problem. I had been in the editor about 2 hours, and that was the last item I placed. The editor would not be so slow if it wasn't for the necessity of checking everything, rebuilding, etc.I have encouraged the folks at PI Engr. to produce an editor that is a rock-solid, supported item, even if it is an extra cost add-on, and if it is deemed necessary to have a rebuild function, to make it foolproof as much as possible, and certainly able to handle any linked items. As far as I can tell, the track is solid in this sim, but I did see a orphan blue pole on the road near Falcon once, but have not been able to find it since. Being on a road, it is less critical anyway.Next, I will attack the grade crossing protection and "W" signs. I also need to complete another 1/2 dozen flat people - which I am going to provide in a seperate upload as well. I have used photographs of friends, relatives, me & my wife, and some scans of JCP catalogs etc. to produce photorealistic flat folks. I don't try for the "X" shape, I just use two sides of a transparent polygon and put a mirror image on the back side.I use the improved grade crossing stuff "CI-**" which is neat, but each item is in two parts and so you have a lot of keying in of precision values to do - but they certainly look and work good. I also put Sundermeyers switch indicators on each switch - look neat, but there are a lot of switches, all of them hand-throws in this sim. Turnouts along the NP (MRL) main portion have been replaced with power CTC units since the era of this sim. I will be using his color lights on the Milwaukee portion, and Semaphores on the NP portion. The Wallace Br. was not signalled.J. H. Sullivan
