Here's a couple of preliminary shots of the red caboose motel along the Strasburg...
Does anyone know what all the caboose road names are? Chris

RE: Caboose Motel

The cabooses were mostly ex-PRR N5 'porthole' and center copula NE cabooses ex-RDG/CNJ. TV in the potbelly stove was a nice touch. Don't remember the road names. The restaurant was an ex PRR P-70 coach, with a box car attached at the entrance end.Do you have the nickelodeon on the porch?Regards,
Hank

RE: Caboose Motel

Looks great! One facing the road is PRR, another is Alaska (Love to know how they got it there ). But I imagine they all are bought from a few companies with other names on them. I think there's a Reading one, there are some others. Just paint most of them to be from nearby railroads like PRR, P&R, etc. assuming you really want to go to that much detail.jlef

>One facing the road is PRR, another is Alaska I thought the bright yellow one in the poor photos I have was Alaska RR. I was shocked ther is none in the file library. I'm just not into a caboose repaint right now, so what I have is what I'll use.Chris

What are you going to do when you get to the RR Museum of PA, Chris? Just throw in whatever steamers and diesels, etc. you can find? I think that'll be good enough.

So are still shooting for that Christmas release or will it be done earlier than that? Again, great work on the caboose motel.

RE: Caboose Motel

Awesome! Add all the trees, underbush, etc., add the graveyard, make the corn maize at Cherry Hill look like the busy carnival it was in late September, add a few animals and Amish carriages, and you're all set.Looking forward to this one.
