>Very nice! May not be the exact replicas or 89 or 31 but
>still they're awesome! I know they are not exact, but I think they are as close as I'm going to get with the currently available engines. I want to do 90 and 475, but they will be even less accurate. Oh well, gotta work with what I have. If anyone wants to volunteer to build correct engines, be my guest.
I think I can make a more accurate reskin of 972, but since it's not running, who cares. I would also LOVE to have the camelback!JLEF-what ever happened to your attempt at 475?Thanks for the comment,Chris

>JLEF-what ever happened to your attempt at 475? I found some possible copyright violations. I do not know if the files are indeed copyrighted, or for that matter if the copyright matters, but the diagram I used (and some other files) led me to suspect that I should not upload. I may try again.By the way, for those of you who did not betatest, you didn't miss much. The animation was terrible, and I now know how to do better, the textures were no good, and the shape was poorly detailed. 1 year and a lot of learning later, I think I'd be embarassed had I uploaded.

RE: Strasburg Roster

Not trying to steal your thread, but I have a copy of what I believe is the same 0-6-0, I cannot recall the original creator of the model. The one I downloaded was a Monon 0-6-0. I re-painted it for Tim Muir's Willamette Valley route, since we needed a way of stringing wire without electricity. When I got the 0-6-0 ready, I noticed the large gap between the pilot footboards, so Tim made a footboard for me, and I added it with the FreightAnim line. So, you say, how did I add the crew? They are also added with the FreightAnim line, but since there is only one FreightAnim line allowed per piece of rolling stock, the crew is part of the tender.Anyway, if you would like to add the footboard, I've zipped it up, and it's attached to this post (below the pix). Put the three files in the zip into your Strasburg #31 folder, and add the following line to the .eng file: FreightAnim ( Ftboard.s 1 1 )Strasburg Roster – image 9

RE: Strasburg Roster

Just for the record, if you want to make #2, that new Plymouth that came to the library in the last few days, right after Jonatan's, could be a good approximation.jlef

Thanks for the suggestion.Chris

A few things:1. You must include Plymouth #2 "Dinkey"! 2. Thomas and 33 look awesome!3. The Mack- Brill Railbus is excellent, though it has since been moved to the RR Museum across the street. Don't know if you want to throw it in the sim- I don't know what it's horn sounds like.4. 89 rocks except for one small thing- where's the bell???5. You just can't pass up the LO&S Railcar #10!6. Good thing you didn't do 475 yet: it's being re-done in it's original N&W appearance! Now is a goo dtime to contact Strasburg & ask them how long it'll stay that way to see if it's worth it to put the new 475 in the sim.7. A few minor details on 31: a) the front numberplate on the real 31 says '7312' ever since the original one was stolen, b) the headlight is centered, and c) the tender doesn't have a curve on the top like the other SRC steam engines. Strasburg Roster – image 17Lookin' good! ~ChrisPS- are you going to include 89 as it is now (CN appearance)? Or is it worth the wait for it to be changed back?

Since I am not the creator of the original model, I can not change the headlight placement. All I can do is to repaint things into a reasonable approximation of the real thing. Ditto with the tender.>PS- are you going to include 89 as it is now (CN

LO&S 10 just doesn't have the platforms and has rounded edges with a door on each side. And it's just a little smaller, but that is beside the major concerns.>>7. RE: Strasburg Roster

Number 2 is a plymouth, I believe. It's painted virtually identical to #1, except for the 2 and that it says Dinkey on one side. It's a little different from the one in the library, but close enough.
