RE: can't run route.....

When does it lock up? In the Route Editor or when you want to drive a train? Do you have an activity for it? Need more info.Yours in Railroading,

Jerry

RE: can't run route.....

Jason, that usually happens when you're missing a graphic for the start-up screen of the route. Open the .trk file of your route and look what .ace files it looks for in the lines: Graphic ( template.ace )
LoadingScreen ( Load.ace )Graphic is the small preview picture in the upper left corner of the loading screen, Load.ace is the full-screen picture greeting you while the route is loaded. MSTS looks for these files when you click on a route to select it, which is why your crash happens exactly at this moment.Notice that any route also needs a filedetail.ace (which is a route map you can access from the loading screen) that is not specifically mentioned in the .trk file. Most probably, references in your track file do not match actual .ace file names, or the .ace files are missing. You can use the files from your train simulator/templates folder until you find time to make your own loading screens, maps etc.Hoping my wild guess is hitting the nail on the head...
