Anyone aware of snow textures for Judd Spittler's great pine trees? They look a bit peculiar in snowy landscapes.Thanks.Jeff

Jeff,There are some at www.the-train.de. The file name escapes me, but you can search the library for Spittler or Oldiedaddy. I think that Oldiedaddy prepared the snow textures and packaged them with Judd's.I have them installed in another version of the Silverton Branch, and they look great. I owe you some screenshots with these as well as the new snowy rock face terrain textures.regards,
charlieEDIT: "js_realpines.zip", about 1.25 Mb. From the readme - "The present snowy textures can be used in FREEWARE routes, but are not to be used in ANY commercial way.
Route documentation MUST include explicit Credit to Judd Spittler and 'OldieDaddy'.
And inform us of download sites featuring your works, OK ?

Thanks for posting the link. After running an activity in winter with no snow, I notice that the pines (or firs) do not have any needles. However, when I select a winter activity with snow, the pine trees have the needles. Is there a way to make the needles visible while selecting no falling snow?

That's strange, Walter. The ace files in my installation are identical in the \WINTER and \WINTERSNOW folders. After making a backup of all six of the "firs" in your \WINTER folder, you might copy in the six from \WINTERSNOW and see how you like it.I took a peek at the "js_pines.zip" that I downloaded on 12/21/2003. The batch file in it copies stuff to every seasonal folder except for the \WINTER folder, thereby perhaps making your comment not-strange. I probably repaired it as above and just forgot about it...regards,
charlie
