Hi Roland !Now that must surely be a "First", a working Rack Rails railway ! Makes me feel home sick being reminded of this great Mountain area just south of Vienna !The ALBULA could do with tracks like these in certain steep gradient places ! Take Care, O t t o.

Hi there!I'm pleased that you like our route, rolling stock and tracks
You won't have any pleasure laying rack rails on the Albula-Line. The "Viafier Retica" or "Rhätische Bahn (RhB)" does not use any rack rails on its entire network , but we have a 100% compatible metre gauge track set (so if anyone plans to build the whole Glacier-Express Route - head on). All tracks will be included in one of the next tsection.dat versions. Before I forget: It's not really the rack rails that simulate the cogwheel train. They are more or less just an optical trick. Real work is done with the .ENG-files, we just increased the adhesion coefficents. For combined adhesion/cogwheel trains one should abuse the X-Key: Adheasion without sanding, rack railway with sandig (better to delete the corresponding line in the sound control files )Regards, Clemens

That looks really impressive! Now we just need the Mt. Washington Cog RR (in New Hampshire) for MSTS! The Schneebergbahn for Microsoft's Train Simulator – image 6
