Lookin real good.
Check in the file library, I've got 3 honest to gosh service stations that'll fit the SAL era rather than those souless, charecterless monstrosities that pass for gas stations now a days.
One is a 60's era Sinclair, a 60's era Phillips 66 (needs the lot lights from the Sinclair otherwise those multicolor penants look pretty silly hanging in midair) and 40's/50's era Mobil station, though that one you might need to use sparingly as it's a bit unique and all but the Sinclair(the Sinclair lot lights are the only pieces that glow) have bright material components so the lights in the station, pumps and such more naturally begin to light as night falls.Gary S

Gary, I have all three of your excellent gas stations and have used them throughout the route. Thanks for the structures and I will be sure to give you credit for your work. Here are a couple of screen shots of your gas stations:

Very nice work! What are the station buildings in shot #3 of the original set?
Where did you find the diamond-shaped speed limit sign in #5?JBD

Jim, the building on the left is the Plant City Depot. The depot served both the Seaboard (SAL) and the Atlantic Coast Line (ACL). The tracks crossing right to left is the ACL tracks. The building on the right is the Railway Express Agency and served both railroads. There are tracks entering from the back of the REA building for loading and unloading mail and express. They were both custom built in TSM using photos. The custom made platforms and covered platforms were also made in TSM and are also used in Tampa Union Station. The diamond speed limit sign was made in TSM and texture in Photo Shop. The sign is a square that was rotated to the diamond shape.

I'm glad they were of use to you and I'm not looking for credit(as my Read me states if you remember, great if not no biggie)but I can't take credit for work that's not mine.
That particular Sinclair station is someone elses(name escapes me at the moment)mine is a newer design just prior to the Arco switch over.
Just enter " Gary Sprandel " in the File library search engine and all three are right in a row. ( need those lot lights for the 66)Gary S

Might be a while since I haven't messed with TSM in a bit(still ain't reinstalled since the new HD)but it might be worth a try,the bear of it is finding good reference materaial.
Since most of these stations are based off real stations that existed here where I grew up.
The Phillips 66 was based off a closed station that still was standing until about a year ago but similar to one torn down in town in 77 and I was able to back date from memory.
The Sinclair was also back dated from memory as it's still standing but as a hotdog joint(yes I know the old "but you can still get gas there" joke ) and the Mobil/Red Horse Grill still stands though as a cell phone dealer in the gas station/auto repair half since 1978 and the RHG portion became a hotdog joint in 75.
Since all the companies are still around(was actually surprised to see Sinclair still around as they all went belly up or Arco here in the Chicago area around 70/71)refference and signage is easy to come across
The local Sunoco station still stands as a Citgo but was majorly altered when 76 took it over in 69 so a trip to the local historical society might be in orderGary S
