WHY, why is it that weeds like to make the RE crash! AND BLOW AWAY HALF OF MY ROUTES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO ADD ALOT OF WEEDS, WHICH SHOULD BE PRESENT, IN THE CUMBRES PASS ROUTE, I ADD TREES, LOTS, IT DOESN'T CRASH, I ADD A COUPLE WEEDS HERE AND THERE, IT CRASHES AND BLOWS AWAY DEFAULT AND NEW SCENERY, INCLUDING TRACK. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME i've reinstalled that route...these two times I have added five weeds, save, add five weeds, save, I just went ahead and added some more around cresco water tank, what does it do, crashes, I go back in Now literally half of the steep side of Cumbres is gone, half of the steep side of Cumbres would equate to 7 miles.....GONE. ALL GONE. I don't even run on it now......stupid. HOW DO I RESTORE THE TILES THAT I HAVE DESTROYED?? So I dont have to reinstall the whole route again.
Kevin Bush,

I will have my hand on the throttle of a K-36 very soon Mon Freunds!

WOOOOOSHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Hee-hee, that's a popping safety valve if I ever heard one. Nothing like the route editor to build up your steam, hey?Yeah, the problem isn't exactly the weeds, it's all in the density:http://www.train-sim.com/cgi/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=6246&forum=DCForumID6The solution is to make the weeds bigger and don't pack them quite as densely:http://www.train-sim.com/cgi/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=10640&forum=DCForumID6Feel free to steal the forest.dat file out of PO&N 8, if you don't want to fiddle with the settings yourself. Just remember to keep the maximum density of a forest region at less than 5000, and don't stretch the region too big.As for salvaging your work, try opening the \World\.w files in wordpad, EDIT, FIND "forest" (or "weed"), and delete each datablock:Forest (
UiD ( 5451 )
TreeTexture ( weeds3.ace )
ScaleRange ( 0.9 1.1 )
Area ( 348.25 50 )
Population ( 39 )
TreeSize ( 16 8 )
StaticFlags ( 00100000 )
Position ( -867.924 1 -609.227 )
QDirection ( 0 0.33392 0 0.942602 )
VDbId ( 4294967295 )
StaticDetailLevel ( 0 )
)Then save, exit, move on to the next W file. As long as you don't leave any extra parentheses laying around the .w files should be okay, and getting rid of a few from each .w file will probably allow you to delete anything else that's too dense in the RE without crashing.
