Got a couple of new issues I need to resolve. The first problem I'm having is with pickup objects. I've placed fuel, water, and coal pickups in 4 different locations along my route. When I look at the route in the activity editor, the only pickup objects that show up are the first of each of these that were placed. Removing those three objects causes the next three to appear. Is it only possible to place one of each of these on a route or am I doing something wrong? The second problem involves crossings. After placing a couple of crossings, and driving a train past them in the sim, the chimes sound like a 45 RPM record playing at a 33 RPM speed. Never encountered that in any of the other routes I run. Any ideas? BTW, I'm using the ci_xing crossings by Bruce Bridges. They seem to work wonderfully on other routes. The route is finally shaping up and I'm hoping to be able to release it fairly soon.Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Craig
Crossing sound:There is something wrong within the "CROSSING.SMS" file you have on your route's Sound folder, or the .WAV file for crossing bells is not in proper format.Open the CROSSING.SMS in Wordpad and check it. If your WAV is in stereo format, make sure that the SMS also has Stereo, not Mono (or vice versa)The other problem - don't know. Thanks for the info TVRAIL.I solved the sound problem this morning by copying a crossing.sms file from a route that works properly. Sounds good now.As for the other issue, after looking at a couple of other routes and seeing that they have multiple fuel points, I'm still lost as to what I'm doing wrong.I've tried deleting the non-working pickup points and replacing them, but that didn't make a difference.Craig
I dunno what it is either, I placed some fueling points that didn't show up in the AE, then later they did. It's possible it could be something really wierd, like you gotta create a new activity instead of opening an old one to get the AE to wake up to the fact that something new has been added.
