Not sure if this was ever discussed but is there any way to slow down the speed in which switches are thrown and signals dropped. I have been creating some CSX activities on the CSX MM sub MY FAVORITE ROUTE EVER(if you dont have this route ya really need to get it )where trains would pass when sidings are reached. But Its like everytime a train clears the switch the switch rapidally realigns itself and the signal drops before the train even gets 2 inches off the circuit. Is there anyway to make a little delay time of atleast 30 secs or so between the train clearing and a signal being dropped..

RE: Slow Down

Not that I know of...The signal change is triggered by the red pyramid (in RE) near the signal..the only thing you can do is move it away from the actual signal post....(but don't go over switches..)
I'm sure some of our geniuses have discovered a way....???Georges

You can increase the clearance distance of the switches to more prototypical values. Assuming 3.8m width of north-american loading gauge and a radius of 164m for the a1tPnt10d points the proper value is
SQRT ( 2* 164 *3,8 ) ~ 35,3m
This will give you 20m more compared to the 15m default value and will result in a bit more than 3 seconds to throw the switch back for a train running at 40km/h or 25mp/h over the diverging path Roman

This involves changing your tsection.dat file in the global folder and is generally a bad idea. It's easy doing a misstake that will get you into major problems with MSTS unless you know exactly what you are doing. Also, since other users does not have the same tsection.dat file your activities could be unplayable for other users. Distributing your modified tsection.dat file to support your activies in order to solve that problem is a very bad idea as all track/road add-ons rely on this file and controlled coordinated updates of it. We tried including more realistic clearance distance values a year ago but that caused all sorts of problems with some routes, especialy where switches are arranged close together and thus the clearance distance values would overlapp.
My advice would be live with the problem cause the solutions will likely cause more trouble.
