Could someone that has already downloaded the route give us a short description. It looks like it uses a Special Global file. The Read me is in Spanish so it's hard to tell what it requires. Basically is it worth the effort at 200 megs?? Thanks. John

The Global file is in case you do not have X-Tracks. Here is a translation of it. It is not to good on the translation my daughter helped me with it..Just ran the route for a few and so far I like it. Good scenery and Good frame rates..It also comes with some nice rolling stock and two steam engines... >>>It is very important to make backups of the directories who go away has to see affected by the installation of this route, I do not become person in charge of lost of data or the evils in general who you can suffer during and despues of the installation. This route has been generated using XTracks v36.If you use the same superior version or saltate the step 1º, in opposite case it begins by.If you do not know what they are the XTracks it is very possible that you do not have them installed. One assumes that you must know like this had arbol MSTS directories, \\Train Simulator \GLOBAL \SHAPES \TEXTURES \TUTOR \ROUTES \ \TRAINS \CONSISTS \TRAINSETthese are basicamente going to be those that receive modifications, totals or partisans. 1º Renombrar the directory \Train Simulator \GLOBAL like \Train Simulator \GLOBALORIGINAL or the name that your you want to give him, they ten in account that if something goes bad and not it beams tendras that to reinstalar MSTS again, and that can not gustarte. according to route-riter, it's missing 2 files - cooper.rdb and cooper.rit. I've opened the .zip twice and they're not there... Tim Baldwin Buffalo NYMilepost 5 on the Buffalo Belt Line CSX - NS - CP - CN
I do not know anything about missing files or route-riter. I downloaded it and installed it with no problems and ran from end to end with no problem. This is a nice route for computers like mine that can not handle the high detail-low frame routes on some routes I have downloaded...

Thank you All for your information. That's all I need. It's a Yes download for me. At least when I can get over to my son's house and borrow his broadband for a short while. Thanks again. John
>according to route-riter, it's missing 2 files - cooper.rdb >and cooper.rit. I've opened the .zip twice and they're not >there... >If you read the error message produced by Route-Riter, it actually says "Cooper.rdb is missing from this route (If the route has no roads, then this does not matter)"I thought this was self-explanatory?Mike
First of all... LOL @ Mike! Hehehehe. Touche.I also was wondering about the Global zip. And even though I speak Spanish, I completely missed the boat on it, thanks for the heads up.This route does capture the vast feeling of Alaska doesn't it? I like the sparseness of the scenery, but its nicely done when you get to it. The terrain elevation is superb, I think, but it does make it difficult to run "less powerful" stuff on it.I think it's a winner. Nice route.
If it's anything like the real Copper River and Northwestern it should be a great route... even if the real name got lost in translation:"Although only 195 miles long, the CR&NW was an engineering marvel. On a scale similar to the later Alaska Highway and Trans-Alaska Pipeline, the project took a peak crew of 6,000 men nearly five years to complete and cost the then staggering sum of $23,500,000. To overcome the valley’s precipitous terrain, the CR&NW elevated much of its track, placing about 15 percent on either bridges or trestles. While many such structures still stand, three are especially striking monuments to the skill of their builders."Details at http://crm.cr.nps.gov/archive/22-10/22-10-13.pdf
