Buffalo route beta 4 released – image 1

LAST EDITED ON May-27-04 AT 03:38 PM (EDT)

Decided to release it before adding the industries to the BSOR, but the Buffalo area is now completed. Of course there's still many bugs, like the poles on track (2nd screenshot)...
The most annoying is the random Send/Don't send which occurs randomly and I have no idea about the reason. It occurs most often around the BC junction and the bascule bridges.Available at

RE: Buffalo route beta 4 released.

Thanks for the good detailed route! I just loaded it and Route Riter says I am missing these with no alternates found: "Shape file A2t1500r1d.s is missing from your route, no alternative is available in the default routes.

RE: Buffalo route beta 4 released.

Okay, I solved part of the errors by installing Xtracks 3.10, I had downloaded 3.10 sometime back, but didn't install until now.
The ESD errors are probably not from this download. Very detailed route. I have 3ghz processor and a 9800 pro graphics card, but it does bog down some as scenery items are loading. Thanks again.Anyone know what these errors are?

RE: Buffalo route beta 4 released.

Answer found to ESD error. Found other post listing this problem. Open invalid sd file in the route shape folder and you will find "alternative" spelled wrong. Easy to fix. Back to running trains!

If I recall correctly, RR didn't nag about these. I got several error messages about missing textures and ESD 256's, but not anything about these misspelled words...BTW, this is the first time I know about this bug(!).Do you get those so lovely S/DS screens?

RE: Buffalo route beta 4 released.

Yes I get the S/DS about where you said. I don't know if the ESD mispell error causes any problems, but I suppose it could be aa unknown reason for problems. I checked and I had the esd problem in most all my routes, because it came from the M$TS base routes. Wow, you have lot's of detail. I can see some trees show up through my locomotive. I'll be more specific later. Thanks
