Is their a way to lower DEM'd terrain without having to re-generate the terrain at a lower high. If you change the max/min tile height in the RE it loses all the DEM'd terrain. Can you change the max/min tile height in the .t file or something so the terrain will just be at a lower elevation.Hope some one can help me out here Thankshttp://groups.msn.com/MSTSNarrowGauge (Now being updated more oftern) Jonathan Lewis jonathanmlewis@msn.com
DEMEX's guru, JohnCS, is another payware developer that doesn't seem to frequent these forums very often now.Seeing as you're asking about DEM's, you may get quicker response by asking your question at the DEMEX forum:http://www.digital-rails.comJohnCS and Deanville have always been very prompt and helpful when I have a question at their forums. Top notch in all respects. Andre MingVisit VSC's temporary web page at: http://www.vscalecreations.comVisit VSC's Forum at: http://www.3DTrains.com
But as I only have a freeware version of DEM-EX he probably doesn't want me to waste his time.Another question that will help me out. In the tiles folder what information do all the different tiles files types hold?http://groups.msn.com/MSTSNarrowGauge (Now being updated more oftern) Jonathan Lewis jonathanmlewis@msn.com
I have justed figured out a method. If make a backup of all the tile files for the tiles you want to lower apart from the *.t file, then change the max/min tile height in the RE and save and then copy the other files back and reload the RE.This will now have made the process of generating tiles at a lower elevation a lot quicker so I don't have to restart DEM-EX after every tile.Today I made a start on the trackage in Denver for the south park route I am hoping to connect it to the current route at Como.
