Kevin:It's comin' along, but slowly. I was just out in that part of the world on family business, but was able to spend a couple of hours in Chama and follow the route west as far as Dulce, then again from Ignacio to Durango. I took a few shots of scenery for some improved textures, and it ain't desert! A bit green, given the nice wet spring they've had, but it's still mostly sage and forest.I'm hoping the route will be done by Christmas.Andy

Yeah, you say nice green spring. So does Carlos Llamas whose lived there all his life. I guess the forrest service isn't satisfied though...unfortunately. Really too bad they can't just run without spark arrestors and everything, they draft and fire so much better, only problem is the cinders go farther away from the track and if a fire starts, they are hard to put out. Good thing they did a huge weed and brush clearing project this year though.Catch a glimse of 484?Kevin Bush,

It's a lot easier to keep the fires from starting than it is to put them out, even if it does require a spark arrestor.I didn't see 484, since she was in the engine house, and they wouldn't let me in to watch. I did get some nice pics of some of the rolling stock, though, and also got some good pics of 476's cab when I was in Durango. They may make a nice cab view one of these days. Here's a few shots of some of the freight cars:

These will make some good textures one of these days, although they're probably too clean!Andy
