Colleagues,Once the track and roads are laid and you are "reasonably certain" that there are no more blue poles, it is not very critical how you handle the rest of the scenery except that before placing any track related objects, it is a good idea to thoroughly test all routes and so unearth any anomalies that were missed.A little history. Essentially nothing existed at the site of Alberton, MT until the Milwaukee built a servicing facilty there (which was retired after electrification) and small yard. It was, to the very end, a division point, and probably a home terminal since almost nobody claimed Avery as a home terminal. It has been written that Avery was paradise to some, but most compared it to Siberia. The Milwaukee, therefore built Alberton, laid it out, and was it's main reason for existence. Lewis & Clark had passed this way during the Corps of Discovery expedition, taking the Indian trail up LoLo Pass into Idaho. A the east end of Alberton, a road crosses the Clark Fork R., the NP, and goes up to LoLo Pass today.Tonight we will share a few images in the Alberton area. The NCL is detouring, and again the only thing Missoula had was this 4-8-4, and the crew, expecting a 4-unit F-7, has threatened the trainmaster will all kinds of heinous acts to his person-------.J.
