Hello,Question from Oledutch : Is it possible to extend the size of the placement window in the Route Editor? In the default placement window only six objects (track, buildings, trees, signals, etc) are shown at a time. For instance during tracklaying it would be very usefull if more than those six diffent items are kept ready for use. It would save time if it is not needed to scroll every time thru the list of track pieces (there are a lot of pieces nowadays with Xtrakcs!) to select a new type of track. -translation by Wattman-
Although the window can be moved around with some difficulty, I have never found a way to change the size. I agree with you on the inconvenience of the small window but I think that's what we're stuck with for now. With MS apparently getting out of the MSTS business, look for something else to take its place. There are several potentially good projects brewing out there. The Raildriver/Trainmaster project has my attention along with the new Polish simulator, EU57. However, I think there is something even better hiding in the wings. I hear little snippets of things here and there that some work and research is being done to develop a new, open source simulator. I have no idea who is involved or if the idea has even gotten off the drawing board. At any rate, I thing we will have something better within the next year.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, OR (My email is in my profile)Columbia Gorge Route (Phase 2-- Started)
Honest to God, I know nothing. I am not involved in any way. I haven't even been contacted. So at this point, you know as much as I do.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, OR (My email is in my profile)Columbia Gorge Route (Phase 2-- Started)
