GM&O Northern Lines Patch/Update to V1.5 Release Date: c. May 15, 2004 Status: Recommended if planning to do multi-player sessions otherwise optional update. This patch addresses the following issues:* Additional detail scenery, particularly on Jacksonville Line* Additional roads, crossings* Removal/replacement of poles in right-of-way* Missing shapes/textures from 1.4 update (Springfield area)* IT trackage in/around Springfield and St. Louis added (does not affect any activities)* Venice Yard open for business* Eads Bridge route and subway open for traffic* MacArthur Bridge route partially open for trafficMost of this work is based upon bug reports received through May 9, 2004. Some is "just cuz I wanted to!"...
Ran into a minor problem yesterday (Friday) that kept me from getting the 1.5 update finished. The release is "on hold" for a couple of days....Essentially I had a small problem with track shapes that didn't correspond to the track database. Re-installed a back-up of the affected world tile and the problem was resolved a few minutes ago. Some changes to the update release (compare to original post to see the differences)...* Additional detail scenery, particularly on Jacksonville Line * Additional roads, crossings * Removal/replacement of poles in right-of-way * Missing shapes/textures from 1.4 update (Springfield area)* A very short extension of the IT electrified line trackage between Wann and Mitchell (Lenox Tower) Ill. added (does not affect any activities). Line is "dark territory"* GM&O Venice Yard and WAB Brooklyn Yard open for business! * Eads Bridge route and subway open for traffic to/from SLUST! * MacArthur Bridge route fully open for traffic!I expect to be ready to upload this sometime Sunday night but POSSIBLY tonight (Saturday) if I get a good day's trackwork happening here today....Here's a shot of the complicated trackage at Relay Depot (east end of the Eads Bridge).... It took most of a day's trackwork to get this right....#1 - Aerial view of Relay Depot/Bridge Junction. SW tracks go to Eads Bridge and PRR Freight House. 4 tracks tangent NE are PRR main line. Track curving through center of junction and crossing PRR is B&OSW line. SE triple track is TRRA line to MacArthur Bridge. Double track curving away to NW is GM&O/NYC/WAB to Venice Yard/Brooklyn Yard. Tower barely visible is Q Tower...#2 - See why this was a bear to do? Thank you, Okrasa!!! Without X-Tracks THIS junction would NOT be possible!!!#3 - Fog-enshrouded, the Eads Bridge is mostly visible as are the PRR, B&O and CB&Q E. St. Louis riverfront freight houses.JBD
The problem has been resolved!!!! Turned out to be a errant activity file! (See post in Train Simulator forum for further information)I'm back on track for getting v1.5 update released in the next few days!JBD
