Just had to add my testimony and kudos here for Rich! Sure, a simple 'fictitious' railroad - but the realism and detail is impeccable! Modeled after a Georgian route apparently, the terrain looks very similiar to the terrain notheast and northwest of Toronto, Ontario. So for 'tweekers' or just hardcore 'shunters', Canton offers a wealth of possibilities and challenges for all. Thanks again Rich! Having a blast!

RE:"So for 'tweekers' or just hardcore 'shunters', Canton offers a wealth of possibilities and challenges for all. "Heya John, yeah, rich really did a fine job on all the photorealistic buildings and industries on the canton route. As far as canton being for "shunters" or switching, check out the Suddenly expansion for canton at rich's site: http://www.edmfamily.com/msts/news.htm
Suddenly is phase 2 of of the canton route and there will be another 3rd and final expansion due out possibly in september Ive been told. These expansions take canton from being a small town shortline for switching activities into a route for mainline runs, big industries and larger cities. I've been working for the last 3 weeks with Rich building a large industry for the suddenly expanion... Here are a few pix and you can see and read more about it at this link: http://www.3dtrains.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=51&t=4142&s=e5101a0d22728b6bfda3138da42d286bCanton RR is fantastic! – image 1Canton RR is fantastic! – image 2Canton RR is fantastic! – image 3And if you like that...I may also be adding another large industry to the 3rd canton expansion add-on and I hope to take my level of detail up another notch!!! <insert maniacal laughter here>All in all, the Canton series will hopefully be "THE" route for heavy Industrial enthusiasts...much like Enocells Buffalo southern but with 100% custom buildings and industries with great detail and photo-real texturing. For a North-eastern boy like myself who grew up around urban railroading, this is a nice departure from the typical fare of mountain and desert payware routes currently available.Bill Bzak aka Longhairedwizardwww.lhwfoundries.com

RE: Canton RR is fantastic!

Kudos Bill! Yes, Rich has been keeping me posted of your work - and it truely does look fantastic! But I think my poor lappy may not be able to handle it? It's a 'old' P3 955Mhz 512MB RAM and 64MB Video Card (I think?) and Rich kinda scratched his head and said 'Hmmmm?'But I've got WAY too much train stuff on my poor lappy, and may uninstall Marias Pass and NEC soon as I'm so happy with Canton (I also have KHP and Tokyo/Hakone route which I'll keep) So would this help any with these large expansions you guys are coming out with?
It probably doesn't have a bearing I reckon? But maybe I can collect more 'building' stuff for Canton then and twiddle myself? Keep up the great work Bill (and Rich too)!
