How do you remove the "remove one end vector" message? – image 1

Help! Each time I rebuild the track in the track database, whenever it gets to a section of track on the EJE I get this error message:
"Track Database error: 'Remove End_End_' One Non-vector, One-vector"WHen I push OK, RE crashes! What does this mean, and how do I get rid of it?Yes, I have lots of backups! Thanks!

By the time I wrote this, someone answered your question.Try this:First make a backup of your route.
Load the route and do a rebuild of track database.
When the error message is displayed, note the position of the faulty track in the error message.
Say NO.Go to the faulty track position if not already on.
Select the nearest track section of the default track.
Move this track away of the original position.
Save the route. It will force the track database to be updated.Make a backup.Reload the route and verify if you can select the tracks on each side of the moved track.
If you can, replace the moved track at the original place and save again.
If you can't, do the same with the other end track that you can select and save your route.
Reload the route and replace the moved tracks. Save the route.Make a backup.Reload the route and try to make track rebuild.
If you get through...the problem might be solved.Make another backup and reload the route normally without track database rebuild. If the loading is normal, everything should be O.K.Hope this help.The_Genesis_Man

RE: How do you remove the

If you look at my message concerning the same thing on the RMD-4, you can get some additional answers. If the failure occurs, when rebuilding the .tdb, before doing anything copy down all the data in the camera window. Note also if the failure is in track or roads, if you placed roads, it could be either. Also be sure to back up your original .tdb and .rdb files and their backup copies and then delete those (4) files. I left the .tit files alone.
Open RE, if it will let you, and then using the data from the camera window, jump to the failure location. Look for a BluePole all by itself. If you find one, place a unique object right on the blue pole, say a tree, for which you know the name.
Then, backup the world tile, and open it in wordpad. Search for the tree entry. Note it's "X" value, i.e. Position ( 00000, is the X value, i.e. Position ( Xvalue--) Do a search for this X value and find an object of track (or road as the case may be) as close as possible to this X value. That will be the culprit.
Note the arrangement of parenthesis around the object. Before it add
skip ( and after it, put ). This will cause RE to skip the entry. Now you should be able to do a rebuild.
You have encountered the situation where, as one of our sage colleagues put it --THERE ARE TWO KINDS OF ROUTE BUILDERS - THOSE WHO HAVE HAD A DATABASE CORRUPTION --- AND --- THOSE WHO WILL.I eventually had to fix 5 such things in the RMD-4. Two produced BluePoles, and 3 did not. The three that did not were all caused by an inappropriate object bridging one or more tiles. In one instance a 500M piece starting in one tile, crossing the corner of a 2nd, and ending in a 3rd. Had to replace it with 5x100M pieces.J. H. Sullivan
