Aug-16-01, 08:15 PM (EST) "Correction to Convert3 uploaded to files area..." I managed to get the file uploaded last night, in spite of my low-integrety dialup connection. Hopefully, www.flightsim.com will post the correction soon.There are other files that I might get around to adding to the dataset, including boundaries, rivers, station and city markers, pipelines, electric transmission lines, and other goodies. If anyone wants this stuff, let me know and I'll put them up as separate datasets to the utility area (I don't think it'd be wise to make the original download much bigger than the 30+ Meg that it already contains). I'll take as many detail markers as you're willing to provide if it'll make the route editor easier to use (I have a cable modem, so download times don't concern me ). I do have a question, though. Can you create separate marker files for rails, roads, etc., or do you have to combine everything into one large file?

You can create several marker files, but only one of them (the one named with the same name as your route directory) will show at any given time. I prefer to make smaller marker files for the area that I'm currently editing, usually 1 degree by 1 degree, and then combining them manually. I just find that the other landmarks are far too helpful in figuring out where to plant industrial sidings and grading issues to keep the separate files, even though I plan to lay all rail elements before doing anything else with roads or scenery.
