I was thinking on how to build a direction indicator for a double slip, when my crazy mind suggested me to build a fictional car-crossing, and place it in the middle of the N1tXover, so that if the path of the train intersect it the indicator shows "X", instead if not the indicator turns to ")("... Sure the setting of proper distant alert and car-crossing options could be a hard work but maybe... I'm not even sure if car-crossing are switch-sensitive... Is there anybody with others ideas...? Maybe a signal could work...? I don't know them very well... As always thanks a lot and a great salute from Italy, where is always sunny...! Max
Well, several people have done animated switch stands for normal switches that show different-colored flags or targets depending which way the points are set.So I have no doubt that a direction indicator could be made the same way, the only question is how exactly to do it.You might try downloading some of the switch stands and contacting the authors for more advice.Cheers!Bruce Bridges
