"RE: MANUAL "Y" SWITCH" When you changed the object type, did you also rebuild the track database? It's possible to change the object shape but have the binary tile database out of synch with the Unicode text information in the TDB and RDB files.I would start by rebuilding the track database in the Route Editor. That reads the binary files in the TILE folder and writes a set of UNICODE documents. Then I'd load the route in the Activity Editor and make a harmless change like adding a space to one of the messages or the description text. Select the "Compute and Save" option so the RDB and RIT files are updated.Exit to the desktop and run the Train Simulator runtime engine and see if you can use "G" or "Shift G" to change the switch direction. (Bring the train close to it, but don't cross it and leave a 10 to 15m buffer between the train and switch so it can move. You should see the red arrow on the track display indicating response.)Jim Steven, MCSE
